A Little Life Update, a Lot of Change, and a Return to the Magic
Well, hello again! 👋
It’s been a little quiet here at The Mouse & The Map, and before we jump back into Disney tips, travel inspiration, and all the things we can’t wait to share, we wanted to catch you up.
If you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you for sticking around, even through the quiet. And if you’re new, welcome! We’re Lindsay and Kacie: two moms who love travel, Disney, and helping other families make memories.
When we started this space, we were excited to bring our love of travel, our experiences as moms, and a little Disney magic together. We still are. But life had a few other plans, and we needed some time to focus on our families.
What’s Been Happening Behind the Scenes
Lindsay packed up life in North Carolina and made a big move to Celebration, Florida. The town the Walt Disney Company started over 30 years ago! Being closer to the magic is exciting, but moving your family to a new state comes with plenty of boxes, adjustments, and moments of wondering where you packed the thing you need right now.
Kacie has been navigating pregnancy with some complications along the way, while also grieving the loss of her father. It’s been a season with a lot to carry, both physically and emotionally. Making space for her health, her family, and her grief meant stepping back from some things, including this little corner of the internet.
Between the two of us, our time and energy needed to go toward life at home. So the blog took a back seat for a while.
Finding Our Way Back
Things are starting to settled down enough for us to catch our breath, and we’re ready to get back to something we’ve missed: sharing this space with you.
That doesn’t mean every part of life is perfectly settled. Grief doesn’t follow a schedule and big changes take time. But, we’re excited to write again, share what we’re learning, and help you plan trips that work for your family.
And with Lindsay now living in right down the road from the magic, there will be even more opportunities to pop into the parks, try things out, and bring you firsthand Disney updates!
